Pecan Pie Bars

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
5 large eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cups chopped pecans

  • preheat over 350
  • grease 9 x 13 pan (with spray or just shortening-- no flour)
  • mix cake mix, 1 egg, and oil until crumbly
  • press into pan
  • bake for 20 minutes
  • mix remaining eggs, corn syrup, butter, and sugar on medium speed until mixed
  • add pecans
  • pour over top of crust
  • bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until filling is set
  • cool before cutting
